I speak at conferences, organizations, educational institutions, and retreats.
My talks blend philosophy, psychology, and contemplative practice, exploring how we can live with greater presence, freedom, creativity, and connection.
My talks explore three interconnected themes:
Creativity — The courage to create
Creativity is not simply about producing ideas or making art. It is a way of relating to life — becoming more receptive to what wants to emerge, experimenting with possibilities, and finding the courage to give something form.
My talks explore creativity as a way of living, the conditions that allow it to flourish, and what happens when creativity is reduced to productivity.
Possible themes include:
- Creativity and the courage to create
- Creativity as a way of living
- Creativity beyond productivity
- Writing as a way of thinking
- Recovering creative energy
- Failure, uncertainty, and the creative process
Creativity is a practice that arises out of being alive.
Attention — The art of being present
Attention is one of the most fundamental ways we participate in our own lives. What we attend to shapes what we notice, what we experience, and ultimately who we become.
My talks explore presence, distraction, mindfulness, and the conditions that allow us to meet ourselves and others more fully.
Possible themes include:
- Attention as a way of living
- Distraction and the fragmented mind
- Deep work and presence
- Attention, technology, and modern life
- Attention, meaning-making, and a life worth living
- Mindfulness without spirituality
What we pay attention to becomes our life.
Meaning — The experience of being alive
Meaning can be understood as the experience of being deeply engaged in life — feeling connected to ourselves, to others, and to the world around us.
My talks explore what makes life feel meaningful, how we relate to uncertainty and change, and how we might become more receptive to the richness of ordinary experience.
Possible themes include:
- Meaning as an experience of being alive
- The art of living without certainty
- What makes a life feel meaningful?
- Work, identity, and the experience of being alive
- When achievement is no longer enough
- Change, loss, and new beginnings
Meaning is something we experience — and create through the way we live.
